Growing old is mandatory, Growing up is optional.

My, my... Who would have known that I'd get this far?

I always thought I'd never make it.

I never did think about it seriously... Now it is only a few hours away...

It's out there - the shards from a large glass, the cogs of a clock, the organs of the system, the small pieces of a large puzzle.

Maybe it's about time to leave the "lair"...

The past two years have been really fun.

Thanks for the memories.

This is THE WOLF'S LAIR, now signing off.

6th Philippine Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention Report

Having attended the past four cons, I decided to go for a different experience this year. I volunteered as a marshal.

Not only do we get to attend the convention for free, we also get the nice theme shirt (the design of which could have been better, in my humble opinion) and the coveted marshal ID. We get free grub and the occasional freebie too.

D-Minus
I immediately sent an email the moment the information about volunteering was available. It took about a week to get an "unexpected" reply.

As I came home late in the afternoon after an "exhausting" 2pm job interview in Makati, I decided... (more)

Oh well... I have thought it through, and I made a decision.

I might regret this, but it is my stand.

So there... Back to square one. Haha. >__<

Funny thing though as I answered that 'fateful' phonecall, the "imperial march" theme suddenly starts playing in my WA O___o

So there...

Today something weird came in through the mail.

As usual, I went outside to sign the postman's log book but all he did was to ask me who I was. When I answered him he gave me a Golden Arches envelope with my name on it.

I opened the envelop and it turns out that it was an invitation for a manager trainee program. xD

Uh...Yeah I admit I wanted to try working over at McDonald's, but what I had in mind was being a service crew or something.... >_< And I certainly do not have a degree in Business Management...

Must be a mistake... Oh well...

Lots of bad stuff bottled up and I'm feeling rather uneasy lately... Must be the summer heat....

I dunno... Like tear down stuff, blow up objects, punch holes on things or something...

Things have become really really boring... I think I need a rest...

Dear Lord, Please forgive me for calling a kin (a particular cousin) an IDIOT and a JERK. It'sjust that he's really getting to our nerves.

It has been almost a year since he arrived at our home. Well, we understood back then. His mum died, and his father could not be depended on, so he took it to himself to make his family's ends meet.

At first we felt real sorry for what happened to him. He was very eager to find work so that he could send money back to his family as soon as possible.

Yes he did get work eventually, but as the months pass, his real self was beginning to manifest.

I ask,... (more)

I recall a quiet September morning... A long line spilled along that road beside that old building... A line off children the same age as me (I was barely 16 back then), clutching no.2 pencils and that yellow piece of paper....

We were at war.... With an enemy we did not even have the slightest idea about... Children from all over the country gathered that morning for a chance to fight in it... Each had his/her personal motivation... Family..Future...Freedom... Many other things... As for mine, I don't know... It's the norm perhaps? A duty? There I kept thinking about it as we were herded... (more)

I'll put off ranting for this entry because something really really nice happened this week~ ^____^

When I came home from school last Wednesday Mama told me that a box came in from Canada with my name on it. I only have one person in Canada who sends me stuff, but she already sent me a nice Christmas card, so I wondered why would she send me a package at this time of the year.

The box was wrapped in bright yellow paper with balloon patterns on it. Yes it came from dear Neko-tan~! \(^o^)/

A few careful strokes with the craft knife took out the wrapper intact. I run the blade parallel to... (more)

I am sick and tired of this thesis crap.

I've burned several holes in my wallet.

I've struck rock bottom with academics.

I've missed all the fun.

We've been working for some time already... Perhaps this study is far too large to be handled by undergraduates. We are also far behind our time table. We should have been done with it two weeks ago. But here I am, going back to "Hades" for the nth-time sleepover... (The place isn't really bad, it's actually nice... It's just the tied notion that whenever we stay there, we need to get tough work done... Which we usually don't accomplish) I... (more)

Incediary indeed. That church where a few of my friends go to (*sometimes I hear mass there too) got burned to the ground last night thanks to some idiot's skewer-mounted rocket.

I recall mentioning that the previous year lucky for tigers... Turns out prett unlucky for my case, with a lot of screwups and stuff that just happened - on how? I've no idea... Turns out I'm hated by the fire dog.

Last night's partying was interrupted by the news of the burning church... Oh well I was getting pretty dizzy with all that red wine I had to drink...

My cousins had already left for home while I was... (more)
